Dogs aren’t the only animals called Rex!
In previous articles we have looked at how different breeds of dogs have developed over the years, but dogs are not the only animals with an interesting background. There is even a story tell about the different breeds of rabbit. In fact there are at least 11 different recognised breeds of rabbits that are available and all have features that set them apart from other bunnies. I was talking with a customer the other day that was looking for a new bed for her dog. I asked what type of bed her dog needed, an indoor or outdoor? Somewhat embarrassed she told me that it was an indoor bed as the dog slept in their bedroom of a night and to top it off even on the bed. As she made the purchase she mentioned that her grandmother would have been shocked to hear that the pet spent so much of it’s life indoors. Read more •Pet care for small animals
When we think of pets, dogs and cats are the first animals that come to mind but one of the first pets that many kids get is a rabbit or a guinea pig. These animals make an ideal pet as they require little space, make little noise and it is easy to meet their dietary requirements. They can be trained and handled with confidence by children and they are great for helping kids learn about the responsibilities of looking after a pet.
